Blog Post 1 – Instructions

You saw in the video that a big concert took place in Central Park in New York City. Several famous performers were on stage. People could not buy tickets, though. Instead, they had to do something to “earn” a seat at the event. Maybe they cleaned up a park. Maybe they wrote a letter to a politician. Maybe they volunteered at a shelter for homeless people. Maybe they helped a school to create a vegetable garden.

For your first blog assignment, imagine your favourite singer or band will be performing at the concert and you really, really want to go. Describe what you would choose to do to “earn” admission. Explain your decision. Why is this an important action to you? How would you make it happen? How much time would it take? Who would benefit from your efforts? Provide as many details as possible. Include a link to an organization that you might be able to work with to achieve your goal. One more thing—your blog must be posted by midnight tonight and must be between 150 and 200 words.
